padGaleocerdo Cuvier

Galeocerdo Cuvier known as the giant turtle shell destroyers. These prehistoric sharks roamed the seas 55 million years ago and ate prehistoric turtles weighing in at 5 ½ tons (11,000 lbs.) that were 16 feet long and 15 feet wide. The extinct tiger shark teeth evolved to do one thing well, saw through turtle shells with efficiency. Their teeth were round with serrations coming to a point. Much like the points on a circular saw blade. Their teeth pretty much stayed the same shape throughout prehistoric times up to the late Miocene period becoming bigger in size before going extinct. Because of the serration on the curves of the tooth, the prehistoric tiger shark would strike a giant sea turtle swimming up to 17 knots per hour. Ferociously jerking its head from side to side would saw through the shell exposing the turtle's vital organs and muscles. These extinct prehistoric shark teeth are all approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm.) And come in different colors. They are Undug (excavated) and dated by paleontologist. A certificate of authenticity is prepared giving the name of the shark, its age, continent of origin, species, rarity and the precious metal (14kt gold or sterling silver) you ordered your fossilized shark tooth pendant crafted in.
